Prof. Dr. Andrzej M. Fal is a specialist in internal medicine, allergology, and public health. He is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University. He previously served as Dean of the Faculty and Director of the Institute of Medical Sciences and as Head of the Department of Allergology and Lung Diseases at the National Institute of Medicine. Since 2014, Prof. Fal has been president of the Polish Society of Public Health. He is a member of the Main Council of Science and Higher Education, as well as several Polish and international scientific societies and committees. He has served on the Supervisory Board of the Polish-American Fulbright Commission and represented Poland at the European Medicines Agency (EMA). He was also a member of the International Council of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and the Public Health Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He completed internships at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA), Brompton Hospital (London, UK), and Uppsala University Hospital (Västerås, Sweden). He authored over 350 publications, combined IF >400; and four textbooks. He has promoted eighteen PhD dissertations. Prof. Fal has been awarded the Gold Cross of Merit and the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. He has received numerous honours, including the Vector of the 35th Anniversary (2025), Medical Personality of the 35th Anniversary (2024), and the Golden OTIS Award (twice).
