Zuzana Katreniakova, MD, PhD, has more than 20 years of research experience in health promotion and strengthening public health systems. As a member of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) Governing Board and Chair of the Steering Committee of the Slovak Public Health Association (SAVEZ), she also focuses on translating research findings into public health policy and practice. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and WHO Europe, she served as the coordinator of the national working group for the first comprehensive evaluation of the public health system in Slovakia (EPHO 10; WHO-BCA 2012–2013). She was also a member of the national expert working group for the Long-Term Care Strategy (2017–2019). Furthermore, she serves as a guarantor within the Platform for Prevention project, which aims to propose specific measures, activities, and pilot projects to improve primary and secondary prevention in Slovakia by increasing adult participation in regular health check-ups.
