Professor Peter Jarcuska, MD, PhD is Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice and Head of the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Louis Pasteur University Hospital in Kosice, Slovakia. He graduated in General Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at UPJS in 1987 and obtained his PhD in Internal Diseases in 2001. He subsequently completed his habilitation and was appointed Professor of Internal Medicine. Throughout his academic and clinical career, prof. Jarcuska has been actively involved in medical education, research, and clinical practice, with particular expertise in internal medicine and hepatology. Before becoming Dean in 2022, he served as Vice-Dean for Scientific and Research Activities. His professional activities combine clinical medicine, academic leadership, research, and the education of future healthcare professionals.
